Evian Poker Open: Side Event 2 Day 1

Hello everyone and welcome to another day of coverage of the Evian Poker Open.

Starting today, Day 1 of the Side Event 2 of the Evian Poker Open. We are now following the players of Team Live The Dream, Fabien "Schumyfab" Perraut and Julien "garrincho54" Claudepierre.

The side will begin in a few minutes. Players begin with 15,000 chips and levels of 40 minutes.

International Heads Up France Day 2

Edit 19h56: ELIMINATION OF KOEN DE BAKKER

After two hours of a fierce battle against English Richard Greco, Koen de Bakker has been eliminated for a very good fourth place, as the field was very strong in these International French Head's Up.

His opponent played lots of small pots and there were a few big meetings that explained the length of this face to face.

The beginning of the battle turned in favor of Richard Greco and slowly but surely, Koen has seen the amount of his chips down.

Then, after a raise of Koen, his opponent bet for the totality of Koen's stack. Koen is forced to call with A6, for a A9 for his opponent. Fortunately for our Netherland player, he will find his 6 on the turn that allows him to win the pot and regain his original stack.

On a second major confrontation, Richard Greco bet and Koen decided to re-raise with 78 ... call by his opponent.

Then the flop is Q84 and Koen CBET and its opponent re-raise at 6k ... Koen call.

The turn was a K and both checked.

The river is an Ace and both checked again.

His opponent showed Ad 6d and wins the pot.

From that moment, Koen has been in a difficult position with 7BB he finds himself forced to push all'in with Q3, call by the K2 of his opponent.

The board TJK / 6 / Q will not help our players who finished in a very nice 4th place with a winning of 15.360 €.

Edit 14h43: VICTORY OF KOEN DE BAKKER

Once again, the Everest Poker player, Koen de Bakker showed the extent of his talent on heads up by defeating Cao Rui in two stages.

Firstly, the frenchie lost a good third of his stack with 5d-4c on a board of 5c Qd 9c Ac 4h. Indeed, Rui Cao decides to pay the value bet of our players who had As 4s.

A few hands later, on the blinds at 200-300, Rui Cao opens at 800, then Koen 3bet to 2,000 ... insta shove of the French. After a period of reflection rather long, Koen de Bakker decides to pay with As Qh which dominates the Ad Th

The board 6d 8c 2s / Qd / 9am supports Koen de Bakker and accessing the semi finals of the Internationaux de France Head's Up Evian les Bains!

He will face the English Richard Greco who won against Anthony Lellouche.

32 of the best players in the field were given appointment to Evian les Bains to try to win the title and a substantial portion of the prize pool.

After an epic journey throughout the day yesterday our Everest player, Koen de Bakker returned today to compete in the quarterfinals.

His opponent today will be Rui "Gohanounet" Cao of The Limpers Team. The winner of this opposition will go directly into the Semi Finals synonyms of places paid.

Evian Poker Open : France International Head's Up tourney

Edit 19h39: The fourth Heads Up of Koen de Bakker was against James Akenhead. Before the duel, only 4 players had made a flawless trip.

Unfortunately for our Everest player, the confrontation has turned in favor of James Akenhead who secured a place in the semi final synonymous of cashes.

Koen de Bakker will return tomorrow to play in the quarterfinals. If he wins the next Heads Up he will be In The Money!!

We give you a "rendez vous" for tomorrow at 2pm to follow the extraordinary journey of Koen de Bakker in the International France Heads Up.

Edit 18:30: The next opponent of Koen de Bakker is an "old friend" of Antoine Saout: the finalists of the WSOP and WSOPE 2009, James Akenhead!

The fourth battle will be play on the TV table, so for those who have Eurosport TV, you will be able to watch this Heads Up in late April for the broadcast of these International France Head's Up in Evian.

Edit 18.15: And another win for the Everest Poker player pro, Koen de Bakker!! He won his third consecutive Head's Up, this time against Roger Hairabedian.

On the last hand, Roger goes all in with Ac-8h insta call by Koen who reveals TT.

Edit 6:01 pm: The Heads Up between Roger Hairabedian and our player Koen De Bakker has started since a small hour. For the moment, the confrontation turns to the advantage of Koen who are not impress by Roger. Almost all the hands are boosted pre flop and there isn't many flops revealed. We shall keep you informed about the suite of the confrontation.

Edit 15h30: On the mean time, the Live The Dream Netherlands player, Koen de Bakker was against Lou Diamond. Initially, the duel was with a slight advantage for Lou until Koen pushes all in on the turn on a board of 7h 5c 5h - Jc
Lou Diamond had a long thought and finaly decides to pay with 5-9. Koen, who are waiting for a flush, is not happy to hear the call, but fortunately for our Everest player, a Kd made his return to flush at the river and allows him to take a clear advantage over his opponent (even if it has took a few minutes to try to understand why his opponent has taken so long to call with his trips).

The end of the Heads Up is anecdotal because after the previous move and with the level of blinds, Lou Diamond has pushed the middle of the table its latest chips and Koen paid with a pair who will stay the best hands and help him to win his second duel.

The third Head's Up will be played by Koen at 17h.
Edit 15h10: And although we cannot say that Fabrice Soulier has been very lucky during these international France Head's Up. Indeed, once again its confrontation against Andrew Jeffrey did not start on the best of way. In fact he was totally card dead, the few hands that he tried to move always finished with the same result: call of his opponent who had found little hands on the board

Results of this situation are an early elimination of Fabrice Soulier on this Heads Up tournament.

Edit 13h24: The duel against Fabrice Soulier and Richard Greco has been the longest of this first round.

After a bad start, Fabrice was back on the game through a all in pre flop with 8-8, paid by his opponent with 7-7. From that moment Fabrice managed to take the lead and grow a stack of 25,000 chips. However, he lost a confrontation All in pre flop with Ac Ad Td 9c Vs who leave our champion with a short stack.

This time, he didn't succeed to do a come back and our player loses his first confrontation of the day by snapping AA vs KQ!

Fabrice will then enter the path of the "losers" who looks very long for him since he will have to win 8 duels if he wishes to reach the final.

The Catalan player, Leo Margets just won her duel with Ludovic Lacay. James Akenhead has also zon his HU against Robbie Verspui. Finally, Eric Haik beat out Andrew Jeffrey.

The tournament has the particularity of being a double chance tournament which means that if a player lost the first confrontation, he will still get a second chance of reaching the final.

The tournament takes place over two days with the following structure: 20,000 chips and blinds starting at 100-200 with levels of 15 minutes.

Maria Maceiras, the last woman standing, is our only Everest Poker player headed to day 3 of EPT Berlin. She's headed into day 3 with the average chip stack - 220K.

Fabien busted shortly after the bubble with K Qs vs. A Q. Fabien finished 134th and took home €7,000 after playing an amazing tournament.

The Big Viking is out.

He had just returned from the dinner break when he found himself in a 300K three way pot with Q's against A K, A K. An Ace came on the board and there was no help for Sigurd, he was now down to 13K. With a short stack, the Big Viking went all in with 10's, was called by Q's and again with no help, is now out of the tournament. Happy with his play overall the Big Viking is looking forward to future events such as the Spanish Poker Tour stops.

The level 9 blinds were 500-1000 with an ante of 100.

Pokerstars' EPT Berlin: Day 1A begins

Update: midnight

Day 1A at EPT Berlin is over.

First the not so good news: Right before the end of the day Koen and Javier got kicked out of the tournament. Koen held AK and got beaten by 1010 - no ace, no king to save him.

Second the good news: Even though Steven lost a bit on his stack, he finished with a good amount of 17,000 chips - move up a gear!

Now the really good news: Our campione Cristiano trippled his short stack of 7,000 and is taking 21.000 chips to the next day. Bravo!

Tomorrow day 1B starts at noon.

Against all odds... Unfortunately Leo is out of the game: After a raise with pocket 55 he met his set on the flop. However, his opponent was chasing his flush draw and got lucky on the river. We give it up for Leo who played a very good tournament.

Koen holds 35,000 chips and Steven is also still around start stack.

Over the day we have lost sight of Javier and.... look at that: he was sneaking up being our Team Chipleader with currently 80,000 which is nearly double average. Great!
